Reflow of a landscape
(excerpt)
...I write Ultimo and it sounds to me as incognito as Original. Both are places without certainties. Two points that join and get lost.
Perhaps Caspar David Friedrich* put these questions in relation from his painting, perhaps they were worth those cliffs to try to order that infinite without answers...

The images collected in this booklet were taken on the path of an itinerary. Without intending to, they were hooked on this collection as a kind of experience, forming a kind of logbook.
Although I started out with an initial documentary purpose - excited by the information gathered about Ulrich Müther's work - the mechanism that was activated became profusely subjective.
Within the framework of the island and southern landscape, from time to time immeasurable, from time to time sheltered land, an armed archive of fragments was created.
The fragment is poetically linked to the idea of totality, soaking up the values of the romantic landscape. (vast, wide, solitary, distant, isolated, silvery....) and at the same time stirs up the idea of refuge.
Ulrich Müther's structures are examples of a "poetic modernism". From their presence and uniqueness, they function as a double sign, codifying memory and oblivion.
For me, in Ulrich's structures, the landscape of Caspar becomes a sign.

Creo que fue ese limbo el que permitió el reflujo.
